RESERVATION
A valid credit / debit card is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation, which can be made by phone, fax, letter or e mail.
DEPOSIT
A non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, which can be paid by credit card, debit card or cheque. We do not accept American Express.
PAYMENT
Payment is due on arrival by any of the following methods:
Sterling cash, personal UK cheques with a valid guarantee card up to the limit of the card, debit cards and credit cards.
We do not accept American Express.
GROUP BOOKINGS (2 or more rooms)
Group bookings must be made directly with The Farthings by telephone on 01904 653545. We do not accept same sex groups or stag and hen parties.
A SECURED BOOKING REPRESENTS A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE GUEST AND THE ACCOMODATION PROVIDER
CANCELLATION
If a booking is cancelled more than 7 days before date of arrival, there will be no charge. Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of arrival will be required to make payment in full.
TRAVEL / CANCELLATION INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that guests take out travel / cancellation insurance.
The Yorkshire Tourist Board recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, please call TPS Ltd 0870 7744056.
CURTAILMENT OF STAY
Non arrivals without prior notification will be charged the payment in full, which will be taken from the card used to secure the booking.
CHECK IN TIMES
before 1.00pm and between 5.00pm and 9.00pm.
Before 1.00pm
In the event that rooms are not yet available, keys and parking permits will be issued if required, and luggage may be left with us.
5.00 ~ 7.00pm
Standard check in procedure will operate. Guests must confirm when booking, their time of arrival. Check in times outside of the above times, must be agreed directly with The Farthings at the time of booking.
Guests failing to take up their accommodation by the time stated , without prior arrangement, will be considered a “no show” and the room/s may be re-let.
Normal terms and conditions will apply.
Outside of the normal check in times
There may be no one present to check guests in.
Alternative parking can be found on Nunnery Lane or the junction of Scarcroft Road and Bishopthorpe Road, if required.
